Bill is a Certified Financial Planner® practitioner and Certified Public Accountant. He completed his Bachelor of Business Administration from Niagara University in 1985. In 1987, he established Canty Financial Management, with a commitment to understanding client needs and delivering high-quality objective advice.

Prior to starting CFM, Bill gained extensive CPA experience through his work with the New York State Department of Taxation, the New York State Comptroller, and the New York State Education Department.

Bill has played significant roles in his community. He has previously served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce and President of the Ballston Spa Rotary. During his free time, Bill enjoys deep-sea fishing, golfing, and sharing time with friends and family.
