Coronavirus and CFM Office OperationsSubmitted by Canty Financial Management on March 23rd, 2020
As the situation with coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to develop, our team is ready and standing by to help our clients. We are taking multiple steps to minimize health risks to our staff and our clients.
The IRS has extended the payment and filing due date until July 15th, 2020. Both the filing and payment deadline for tax returns has been extended by 90 days until July 15, 2020. New York State has also extended the tax filing and payment deadline until July 15th, 2020.
Limiting face to face meetings. We are limiting face to face meetings to reduce the spread of the virus. You are welcome to mail us your tax documents via US Mail, or scan and email them using our Client Portal.
We are available primarily via Telephone and E-mail. Our advisors are here for you and ready to discuss your immediate and long-term financial needs. We are encouraging phone calls and e-mails as the primary form of communication.
Drop-off Procedure in place: We have implemented a dropbox system at each of our offices that allows our clients to leave their tax documents with us in a sealed envelope.
You may utilize our Secure Client Portal on the Internet. Please let us know if you are interested in utilizing our secure client portal to send and receive documents. You may upload documents, and view copies of your tax returns. This is an efficient way to communicate and finalize projects, including e-file authorization signatures.
Let us know if you need additional assistance. We understand these times can be challenging, and we are here to help. As new developments emerge regarding the coronavirus, we will share information with you.
We hope you and your family stay safe and healthy,
