September 2010 - Canty Financial Management periodically offers a "FREE TAX PLANNING DAY" to our community. These are special days where we offer free tax advice. You are welcome to get an expert opinion on your tax situation. The next Free Tax Planning Day will be held on September 24, 2010.

January 2009 - Bill Canty began serving on the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Advisory Board. .

December 2008 - Bill Canty completed his 6th year of voluntary service on the Board of Directors for the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce. He served as Chairman in 2006, Vice-Chairman in 2005, and Treasurer in 2004. The Saratoga Chamber is one of the largest in NY State with over 3,000 members.

January 2008 - CFM Employee Kathy Flynn obtained her IRS Enrolled Agent license through the US Department of Treasury.

June 2007 - Canty Financial Management filed as a Registered Investment Advisor under the rules and regulations of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

December 2006 - CFM employee Maureen Walsh became licensed as Registered Investment Advisor Representative.

January 2006 - Canty Financial Management opened offices in Naples, Florida.

July 2004 - Bill Canty served as President of the Ballston Spa Rotary Club. Rotary initiates community projects that address some of today’s critical issues such as violence, AIDS, hunger, and polio irradication.

January 1996 - Bill Canty resigned his full-time position with the NYS Comptroller and Canty Financial became a full-time, year-round, independent firm with an office in Ballston Spa, NY.

January 1986 - Canty Financial Management was founded as a seasonal Tax Preparation firm in Albany, NY.
